Meet Elle Mok-Taylor
Hello,
i'm elle!
My real name is Elsbeth but I go by "Elle", which is pronounced ELLIE

Here is a little bit about what you can expect from me as a person (first!), a therapist, and in our work together:
What you see is what you get. I show up as my authentic self—in and out of the therapy room. That means you'll find warmth, empathy, the occasional sarcastic joke, and plenty of room for laughter alongside the hard moments. Every emotion is welcome here. I'll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.
After spending the last decade (plus!) at Johns Hopkins, my experience there taught me how to navigate challenges, build strong partnerships, and never stop learning new ways to help. My approach combines clinical expertise with real-life experience to help children, teens, and families better understand themselves, their relationships, and the way their brains work. My goal is to help clients recognize their strengths, embrace who they are, and rediscover the spark that life's challenges can sometimes dim.
Therapy with me isn't about fitting into a mold. It's about finding what works for you. Whether we're talking, playing, creating, moving, or trying something entirely different, I tailor each session to the individual because healing isn't one-size-fits-all. (And yes, I may ask, "How did that make you feel?"—but the couch is completely optional.)
I have a special passion for supporting children, teens, and families navigating life transitions, anxiety, persistent sadness, motivation challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we'll build practical tools, resilience, and confidence in a space that's as colorful, creative, and genuine as the people who walk through my door.

Who Thrives with my Support

The clients I connect best with are children, teens, young adults and families who are curious, engaged, and ready to grow. You don't need to have all the answers—or even know exactly where to start—but a willingness to explore, reflect, and try something new goes a long way.
I love working with kids and teens who benefit from creativity, play, and thinking outside the box, as well as parents and caregivers who want to better understand themselves and their children. Together, we'll build confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, celebrate individual strengths, and develop practical tools for navigating life's challenges.
I'm especially passionate about helping families break unhelpful patterns, explore the cultural, societal, and generational messages that shape how we see ourselves, and create healthier, more authentic ways of relating to one another. My hope is that every client leaves feeling more connected to who they are—not who they think they're supposed to be.
